Communauté de communes Sud-Corse – France

CCSC – Communauté de communes du Sud-Corse is a public institution for inter-municipal cooperation (EPCI). It is located in Corsica (France) in the Department of Southern Corsica with its head office in Porto-Vecchio. Its territory is composed of 7 communes: Bonifacio, Figari, Lecci, Monacia-d’Aullene, Pianottoli-Caldarello, Porto-Vecchio and Sotta, with a population of 20,657 inhabitants. It has a total of 19 competences grouped under the themes:Environment and living environment, Development and economic planning, Tourism development, Social and cultural development and planning, Spatial planning , Roads, Housing. The CCSC is laureate of the program of “positive energy territories for green growth” launched by the French Ministry of Environment, Energy and the Sea to territorialize the energy transition policy and to give a strong impetus to encourage concrete actions that contribute to mitigate the effects of climate change, encourage the reduction of energy needs, the development of local renewable energies and facilitate the establishment of green networks to create 100,000 jobs over three years.

CEDRU – Portugal

CEDRU – Centro de Estudos e Desenvolvimento Regional e Urbano (Research Centre for Urban and Regional Development) is a leading portuguese consultancy company in the field of territorial planning and studies at national, regional, local and urban levels. More than 30 years of experience in carrying out studies and plans in different domains and areas of intervention give CEDRU a diversified and deep knowledge capital recognized by the portuguese and international entities with which it has collaborated. In the past few years, CEDRU has become one of the most relevant players in the development of climate change adaptation policies in Portugal, mostly by leading consortiuns of university research teams and consultancy companies, but also as sectoral experts. Currently, CEDRU leads the consortia responsible for the development of the Metropolitan Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area and 3 Intermunicipal Adaptation Plans and is also developing 7 Municipal Plans for Adaptation to Climate Change. CEDRU is also a founding member of the Network of Municipalities for Local Adaptation to Climate Change, currently integrating its Management Secretariat.

INFODEF, Institute for the Promotion of Development and Training, is a private and independent centre for Research, Development and Innovation whose mission is to design and carry out projects that contribute to achieve a sustainable and inclusive development through education, culture and innovation. The centre designs and develops innovative tools, methodologies, products and services that respond to current social and economic challenges and enable it to anticipate and drive the changes needed to achieve future goals and objectives in society. ISTANBUL GOVERNORSHIP – Turkey

Governorship of Istanbul is in charge of regulating and supervising general administration in Istanbul. Governorship of Istanbul implements instructions and orders from ministries ensuring promulgation of government decisions and implementation of laws and regulations. GOI is the highest administrative authority in the city and serves in various fields with about 300 civil servants.

National and international projects are carried out by the European Union and Foreign Relations Office on behalf of the Istanbul Governorship. Priority is given to supporting disadvantageous groups such as people with disabilities, immigrants, NEETs and unemployed adults within the projects. In this context, GOI has cooperations with several public institutions, universities, training centers, vocational education centres, and NGOs for youth and adults. GOI provides training on topics needed through its Continuing Education Center.

MEATH PARTNERSHIP – Ireland

Meath Partnership is a county-wide local development company responsible for the design and implementation of local, rural and community development programmes in county Meath. We focus on building the capacity of communities through the delivery of a range of services and initiatives tackling persistent incidence of exclusion and disadvantage, playing a strategic role in the development of the County. We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation. Our activities are guided by a bottom-up approach directly responding to the needs of our target groups, customers and local partners. We are funded by national and EU funds and currently employ 33 people.

CWEP – Poland

Centre For Education And Entrepreneurship Support (CWEP) is an non-governmental organization founded in 2004 by group of entrepreneurs, teachers and social activists from Rzeszów. CWEP cooperates with businesses and educational institutions. Mission of CWEP is to increase the quality of education training at all levels and in all its forms as well as to promote entrepreneurship in order to foster integration of any social group regardless of gender, age and ethnic origin. The aim of the CWEP is to promote and implement the best solutions that serve this purpose. AEVA – Portugal

The Association for the Education and Valorisation of Aveiro Region (AEVA) (www.aeva.eu) was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organisation to meet the needs of local businesses in tackling skills mismatch by bringing education and the working world closer together. In this scope, AEVA is an umbrella association of competences with 13 brands, including the largest private VET school in Portugal, EPA (www.epa.edu.pt), and offers various education IVET, CVET, TVET and RVCC paths, targeting both young and adult people, most of them facing fewer opportunities.
