O2: ACTION training curriculum

The aim of this output is to design a comprehensive and flexible framework to empower educators and community leaders to act on climate change. It will be draw from a) the methodological framework (O1); b) feedback from participants in the transnational capacity building; and c) the extended training needs analysis with the local working group (LWG). The training curriculum will offer a circular learning path to reflect the particular training needs of educators and community leaders. A set of core and integrative modules will be designed and include a range of thematic areas, inter alia:

Core modules on climate change essentials

  1. Understanding climate change and its impacts
  2. Introduction to climate change adaptation
  3. Strengthening responses and resilience to climate change
  4. The benefits of climate change adaptation and mitigation
  5. A climate change agenda for the future

Integrative modules on cross-cutting themes

  1. Ways in which climate change can be integrated into VET paths in specific sectors targeted by project’s partners – Tourism, Health and Energy
  2. Ways in which climate change can be integrated in community-based actions
  3. Enhancing innovative digital approaches to boost climate change education for all
  4. Empowering learners and citizens to act on climate change through education and sensibilisation
  5. Raising awareness about climate change through media, networking and local stakeholders
